Retake Picture Day is 11/10/2023! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Order Code sent home with students this week to place your order at https://inter-state.com/Order. Game time is 6:30 pm in Appleton City. All tickets must be purchased in advance via the MSHSAA website using the directions below. Our school as been registed for the " AAA MISSOURI SHOWDOWN" This is a friendly compettion among schools to take
the pledge to end Distracted Driving, Buckle up and Phones down. Below you can see that we are registered under Class 2
and competing against those schools.
If our school gets the most pledges from students and community members, AC high school will receive a $1500.00 donation that
we can use toward: Project Prom, Project Graduation or similar safety-focused student programs.

On Wednesday, October 18th ten ACHS seniors participated in Build My Future in Jefferson City. The construction career day and industry showcase allowed the students to participate in educational displays, equipment operations, and hands-on learning labs. This trip was organized by Mrs. Deel, funded by a RootEd Innovation Grant, and was a great opportunity for the students to learn about various trades.

Join us in congratulating one of our distinguished Appleton City Elementary teachers, Shelly Scotten, on her outstanding accomplishment! On September 29th, Mrs. Scotten was inducted into the Hendrix College Hall of Honor for both her record as a soccer player and her academic success.
"Originally from Rogers, Arkansas, Shelly Peterson Scotten arrived at Hendrix College after spending her freshman year at Middlebury College. A three-time team captain and two-time Most Valuable Player for the women’s soccer program, she earned All-South Region and All Conference honors after a stellar junior season, and currently ranks fourth in program history for assists per game in a single season after averaging 0.33 assists in 12 games that year.
Her abilities in the classroom matched her abilities on the pitch, as she was a four-time Academic All-Conference selection and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Elementary Education. During her time at Hendrix, Peterson Scotten was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Lambda Theta, and Psi Chi, and served as Sports Editor and Senior Editor for the Troubadour from 1999-2001. She was awarded the Ruby Carroll Hughes Children’s Literature Award (2001) and the Opal P. Middleton Elementary Education Award in 2002. Upon graduation, she was named the recipient of the Carl Babcock Award for Leadership in Athletics.
