Congratulations to ACHS Senior Katie Campbell. Katie has been accepted to Ozarks Technical Community College, Missouri State University, Missouri University of Science and Technology, University of Missouri Kansas City, and Truman State University. Katie is leaning towards attending Truman in Kirksville, Missouri, and focusing on pre-law studies. Katie has an impressive academic record and we know she'll continue to do great things after her high school graduation.

ACHS Senior Janelle Burns will be attending the Preferred Supported Living day center in El Dorado Springs after graduation. The direct support professionals there focus on care that is individualized, community-based, and life-enhancing. Janelle has a bright future ahead of her. Congratulations!

ACHS Senior Samuel Young has recently completed his CompTIA A+ certification. This certification is perfect for launching his IT career in today's digital world. Additionally, Sam is working on open-source projects, and preparing for additional certifications including CompTIA Network+ and Red Hat certifications. We're proud of you, Sam!

The Appleton City R-2 School District is soliciting bids for flooring projects this Summer. Possible projects include bathroom flooring, library flooring, a few classroom flooring replacements, and cafeteria flooring. If your child will be 5 before August 1st,
now is the time to begin thinking about Kindergarten enrollment requirements.
The following items are required for enrollment:
immunization records, state issued birth certificate, social security card and proof of residence.
Did you know that your child can receive the immunizations that are needed to attend Kindergarten
anytime on or after his/her fourth birthday? You do not need to wait until age five.
We encourage you to have your child fully immunized now
and bring the immunization record to school on the day of Kindergarten screening.

Arrrrrr you ready? Wednesday evening, March 6th, join us for an adventurous night full of reading and writing activities at the Title I Pirate Family Literacy Night. We will begin serving dinner at 5:45. Activities will be in the Elementary Gym.

A little pre-game breakfast cooked by the cafeteria and admin for these girls this morning! There's a lot of school spirit on campus here today!
Details for tonight's HOME game vs. Liberal:
AC will be the home team and will wear white uniforms. Liberal will be the road team and wear dark uniforms. The gates will open at 5:00PM! Bus parking will be in front of the commons area on the south side of the school. Public parking and entrance will be in the back of the school leading into the gym. Teams are not allowed to be on the floor shooting until 5:30PM! AC fans will occupy the north side of the bleachers and Liberal fans the south side. Student sections are allowed, just a reminder though MSHSAA doesn't allow for the students to be standing on the front row of the court.
It's going to be a packed gym this evening. Due to being at capacity for tonight's games, we ask that NO bleacher chairs be brought in. It is going to be a packed gym and we would like to allow as much room as possible for people to sit. If needed, overflow parking is available on the Northwest corner of 4th Street (across the road from the school behind the Bulldog Pride sign).
As for additional tickets, we are hopeful there will be a few open up at Noon via the ordering link.

Although Peyton has not yet decided where she wants to attend school, she does know she wants to further her education in Springfield, MO. Peyton is interested in the health services field and is job-shadowing a Dietitian, Nutritionist, and Esthetician to gain a better understanding of each career. Regardless of the path Peyton takes, we know she has a bright future ahead of her.

Next week is the Appleton City youth baseball camp hosted by the high school baseball team. The days are March 5th-8th from 3:45pm-5:15pm for 1st grade-8th grade. The fee to get in is $40 and you will give the money to Coach Carlson or Coach Lopez on the first day of camp.
The money will be going towards fundraising the high school baseball team. The camp will start in the high school gym and work its way outside depending on the weather. If you have any questions email Coach Carlson at [email protected]

Tessa is currently employed part-time at Dr. Payton's office as a Dental Assistant and her plans after graduation include attending OTC in Springfield to further her dental education. Congratulations, Tessa!
