Bulldog Families,
It was a busy 5 day week! We sent the kids home tired! The annual Little Ladies Dance is tomorrow. Our PTO would love to see you there. We are so thankful for all that Mrs. Sarah Eye and her volunteers do for our school. Also, be sure to check out our Facebook posts about the Book Fair next week. The shopping link is posted below and you can also donate to the Book Fair Share program. Next week is also teacher/staff appreciation week. We have fantastic teachers/staff and I know they would love to be showered with notes of encouragement from families. We’ve even posted a few teacher Book Fair wish lists on our Facebook page if you would like to donate a book to a teacher’s library.

Little Ladies Dance from PTO
The Annual Little Ladies Dance will be held Saturday, May 2 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Appleton City School Commons Area. Any preschool age to 6th grade Little Ladies from Appleton, Hudson, Montrose and any other surrounding schools are invited to bring their best dancing partner out for a night of dancing. The theme this year is Pretty In Pink. Admission (at the door) per couple is $20, with an additional $5 per extra family member.

We had a great week of learning! Thank you to Compass Mobile Dental Unit for providing dental services to families. Today Kindergarten took their field trip to Lego Land and Sea Life. They had a great time! Next week we start MAP testing for grades 3-6. See the MAP schedule below. School is IN SESSION on Monday, April 27th for grades K-12 and the Little Ladies dance is on May 2nd!

How about this Mid-West weather! Thank you so much to everyone for making the necessary adjustments to get all of our students and staff home safely before the predicted weather for this evening. Hoping everyone remains safe through the evening and for sunny skies for the rest of the weekend! Looking forward to seeing all the beautiful prom photos tomorrow evening! We have quite a long list of activities going on before the end of the school year, please check those often for additions or any needed changes.

Due to Clinton schools being closed tomorrow, Votech will not be in session. With early dismissal, Votech students will not be required to attend school tomorrow.
ACHS seniors Katie Gilkey and Cami Brownsberger participated in National CTE (Career & Technical Education) Signing Day at State Fair Community College today. Each signed a letter of intent to study in SFCC's Health Sciences program, Katie in surgical technology and Cami in nursing. Congratulations, ladies!
Just a reminder, school will dismiss at 11:30 am tomorrow, April 16th, in order to allow our staff and students the opportunity to attend the visitation and funeral of Betty Stephan. We will make up missed hours on Monday, April 27th. This will be an early dismissal day as well, with the official release time to be announced soon.
Due to impending weather, Girls Running Club is cancelled for this afternoon. Please call the elementary office if you need to change your daughter's dismissal plan for today.
Today, ACHS Sophomore Troy Struchtemeyer is in Jefferson City participating in the annual GFWC Sophomore Pilgrimage. Established by the General Federation of Women’s Club (GFWC) of Missouri in 1934, the Sophomore Pilgrimage recognizes students who exemplify high standards of scholarship, honor, courage, citizenship, leadership, and service. The GFWC Achievers of Appleton City nominated Troy for this experience and sponsored his pilgrimage. Congratulations, Troy!
